"Hey,
Tony."

Two words. A handshake at a wine industry event. And the moment Bertony Faustin realized he had been giving away the most valuable thing he owned — for free.

His name is not Tony. It is Bertony Faustin — the same name his late father carried from Haiti to New York with a clarity of purpose that took up more space than any suitcase. For years, Bertony let rooms shorten it. Smooth it. Make it easier. Because the rooms he was walking into — boardrooms, wine country, an industry with no one who looked like him — already had a version of him they were comfortable with.

Then he stopped.

What happened next became one of the most improbable stories in American wine: a Brooklyn-born, Queens-raised son of Haitian immigrants — no credentials, no connections, no interest in waiting for permission — became Oregon's first recorded Black winemaker. He turned every single thing the industry called a liability into the brand itself. The heritage he was once ashamed of went on the label. The hip-hop went into the tasting room. The overalls went to the black-tie events. And a community thousands strong showed up — not because they were marketed to, but because they were moved.

This is not a book about overcoming adversity. It is a book about amplifying everything you were told to hide.

Inside the Book

The Framework That Carried Him There

A

Authentic

Stop editing yourself for rooms that were never built for you. Your full name is the front door — walk in with all of it.

R

Resilient

Resilience isn't enduring quietly. It's converting every "liability" — the accent, the story, the struggle — into the asset no one else can copy.

C

Connected

Community doesn't show up because it was marketed to. It shows up because it was moved. Build the thing people belong to.

The A.R.C. Framework™ — for anyone who has ever softened their name, flattened their accent, or shrunk themselves to fit.
